Piedmont BioProducts is more than a technology company.  We are a company with a vision of a new business model that employs new technologies to solve the most significant economic and environmental issue of the 21st century - our dependence on non-renewable and environmentally damaging foreign energy sources.

The Virginia Tobacco Commission is funding Phase 1 of the project.  The Center for Innovative Technology (State of Virginia) became the initial seed investor in Phase 2 with a $100,000 investment to be utilized in the establishment of the pilot plant and commercialization through the CIT Gap Fund that supports the expansion of technology-based industries in Southern Virginia.
